Bush wiZe Field Guide Training runs a professional field guiding course meeting the standards and requirements for training providers, set by the relevant acts. Striving for excellence and service we train our candidates to be ethical and have exceptional knowledge of the bush both practically and theoretically and in doing so, we maintain the high standards of the industry.
Our course structure and syllabus enables you, the candidate, to become a professional guide and to help you become one of the leading guides in the industry with great confidence.
Bush wiZe is situated in the 40 000ha Elandsberg Game Reserve between the Waterberg and the foothills thereof. The northern half is part of the Waterberg escarpment and the southern part is of the Bushveld igneous complex which makes it an amazing conservancy with a great diversity of Fauna and Flora to operate in. The conservancy has been busy reclaiming old farm land rehabilitating it all to its original beauty with the introduction of the Big 5.
Our camp is situated on the western side of the reserve with a breathtaking view over the Waterberg. The camp can accommodate 10 people, each chalet has two separate luxurious rooms with en-suite bathrooms, its own lounge, kitchen and outside covered patio overlooking the mountains where you can relax in your time off and study. There is a large boma and dinning area where all meals will be served and at night we sit around the camp fire and discuss the days experience.
We assist in lodge placements on successful completion of our course. There are exclusive 5 star Commercial Lodges on the property and the top graduates stand a chance to follow their dream career in professional field guiding here, as well as in other top lodges throughout the country.
We start the mornings with a practical drive/walk and head back to camp for breakfast, thereafter we have lectures, lunch and in the afternoon we head out for a second practical session.
Some days we might be involved with dartings and Game capture.
